Report something that needs attention

Reports help the review team understand the specific listing, post or conversation that needs attention.

3 minute read · AllSpace guide

Before you begin

Open the exact property that contains the problem.

How to get there

Choose the directions for the device you are using.

On a computer

On the item page, find Report near its actions. For a general issue, use Trust and safety in the footer and then Contact us.

On a phone

Open the item, scroll to its actions and select Report. Use Menu or the footer for Trust and safety when the issue is not tied to one item.

You are in the right place when

A rounded report dialog names the item and shows a reason selector plus a space for a factual description.

Follow these steps

  1. 1

    Open the relevant item

Open the property and choose Report this listing, or use the report action in a conversation.

  2. 2

    Explain the problem

Select the closest reason and add a short factual description. Include what you noticed, such as an unavailable home or repeated photos.

  3. 3

    Submit and open Your reports

Send the report. From the success message or its alert, open Your reports to keep the local reference and status. Use Contact us for help not tied to a listing or conversation.

What happens next?

Choose the closest reason, add what happened and submit. From the success message or alert, open Your reports for the local reference, status and any evidence request.

Picture this

‘I called about this flat today and was told it is no longer available’ gives the review team something specific to investigate.

If you get stuck

If staff requests evidence, open Your reports, read Add requested information, enter 10–1,000 characters under Additional information and choose Add information to report. The status is local only; nothing is delivered to a real team.
